Marie has been a "bag lady" for 62 years. Her husband was a orphan and his guardian was a home mission minister. He had a 3 church ministry in a destitute second of Virginia. She and her husband helped to get clothes and anything usable for his parishioners. After retirement, she then collected for Sunset Gap, Kingwood School, Lost Sheep, Haborsham, and Newcomb. She got 6 garbage bags full at the garage sale for SAVE - Save Appalchia Volunteers Effort.
Marie proclaims she has won the lottery several times: when she was lost and the Lord found her; when she married her husband; when God gave her 2 wonderful sons, and when wonderful caring mentors and caring friends and people have come into her life's adventure.
